For iPhone, iPad and Mac

Your digital shoebox

An endless pinboard where you toss notes, photos, links and lists. You move them with your finger like real bits of paper and group them however you feel like. Save first; sort later — if you ever want to.

The board

A pinboard with no edges, and everything in sight

Pattio has no lists forcing you to decide where each thing belongs. It has space — lots of it. Zoom in, zoom out, and every card stays exactly where you left it.

Touch it, move it, turn it

Six things you can pin

Enough for almost anything you come up with, and few enough that you never spend long choosing.

  • Sticky note

    Three colours

The classic sticky, in yellow, pink or green. For whatever wouldn’t fit anywhere else.

  • Long note

    Text

For when an idea needs more room than a scrap of paper and you want to write it out.

  • Image

    Photo

From the camera or your library, and as big as you want it on the board.

  • Link

    With preview

Paste it and it looks like what it is: title, site and preview.

  • To-do list

    Tick it off

Items you tick off with a tap. No projects, no deadlines, no assignees.

  • Zone

    Groups things

A named coloured area that groups everything you drop inside it.

Each board is 4,000 × 4,000 points. Enough to never wonder whether something fits.

Everything gets in easily

If you can see it, you can pin it to the board

Saving something should be quicker than deciding where it goes. So Pattio has four ways in, and each takes a second.

  • In the app

    The add menu

A grid that opens with a tap, haptics and all, to pick what you’re adding.

  • Share sheet

    Share from any app

Safari, Photos, Notes… hit Share, pick Pattio and the board, and it’s there.

  • iPhone, iPad and Mac

    Drag and drop

Bring photos, text or links from another app — or from the Finder on the Mac — and drop them on the board.

  • Clipboard

    Smart paste

You paste and Pattio looks at what you’re carrying: a photo becomes a photo, a link becomes a link with a preview, text becomes a note.

No forms, no picking a category, no naming anything. You can sort it out later — or not.

Order, whenever you want it

Save first, sort later

Sorting is optional and happens the day you feel like it. When it does, Pattio gives you tools that aren’t a chore.

Drop it and done

Zones that file things for you

Draw a coloured area, give it a name and drop a card inside: it’s filed. Take it out and it isn’t. There’s nothing else to do.

Archivable

As many boards as you have lives

One for work, one for the flat, one for the trip in August. Each with its own name, and the ones you’re done with get archived.

For finding things

Grid view, for the tidy ones

The same board in columns, sorted by activity. For when you’re after one specific thing and don’t feel like wandering.

  • 2 columns
  • 4 columns
  • Filter by type
  • Filter by zone
Light and dark

Warm night mode

An earthy dark, like cork at night, instead of the usual grey. Follows the system or you pick it yourself.

Eight icons

And the icon you like best

Eight app icons to choose from, so it wears the face you want on your home screen.

Opening a card

Tap a card and it opens right where it sits

The way apps open on iPhone: the card grows out of its own spot on the board. No window arriving from somewhere else.

  1. 1

    It opens up large

The card grows from where it was, text in the middle and options to the side. You always know where it came from.

  2. 2

    You edit it right there

You type on the card itself — no in-between screens, no save button.

  3. 3

    It closes with your finger

Drag it down and it returns to its place on the board, exactly where it was.

And photos bring their details

Open an image and its details sit in a slim column beside it: size, type, aspect ratio and date.

On the Mac

On the Mac it behaves like a Mac

Not an iPad window wheeled onto your desktop: a native menu bar, real keyboard shortcuts, and things that respond when the pointer passes over them.

  • ⌘NNew sticky note
  • ⌘LNew link
  • ⇧⌘NNew board
  • ⌘+⌘−Zoom in and out
  • ⌘0Back to normal zoom

A native menu bar

File and View where they belong, with their shortcuts written next to them.

Built for a pointer

Buttons and cards light up on hover, and dragging with a mouse works just as well as with a finger.

On Macs with Apple Silicon. Same app, same boards as on your phone.

Privacy

Your board is yours alone

Pattio doesn’t make a living from knowing what you keep there. That’s why privacy isn’t a settings screen here: it’s how the app is built.

Your boards travel encrypted: nobody else can read them, and neither can we.

  • No account, nothing in the cloud

If you never create an account, everything stays on your device. No server knows a thing.

  • With an account, end-to-end encryption

Turn on sync and all your content — text and photos — leaves your device encrypted. The key never leaves your devices: the server holds packages it can’t open.

  • The recovery code is yours

It’s how you get in from a new device. We keep no copy of it, which is exactly why you keep it.

  • Deleting your account deletes the cloud

Properly: what was on the server is gone. What’s on your phone stays right where it is.

  • No content analytics, no ads

We don’t look at what you write or pin, and we don’t sell it to anyone who would.

Signing in: email with a code, Apple or Google. Your call.

Frequently asked questions

The things we’d want to know before signing up for anything.

Do I need an account?

No. Pattio works fully without one: open the app and start pinning. An account is optional and only syncs your boards between your own devices.

Where is my data?

Without an account, on your device and nowhere else. With an account, in the cloud too — but end-to-end encrypted: the key never leaves your devices and the server only holds packages it can’t open.

What will it cost?

The app is free and every feature is there whatever plan you’re on: the only thing you pay for is cloud storage to sync. Free gives you 50 MB; Pattio Plus 5 GB, and Pattio Pro 15 GB. You’ll see the prices on the App Store and inside the app before you buy anything, and when shared boards arrive, guests will never pay.

Which devices does it run on?

iPhone, iPad and Macs with Apple Silicon. It’s a native app, not a website in a wrapper: on the Mac you get a real menu bar and real keyboard shortcuts.

What if I lose my phone?

If sync is on, you sign in on the new device with your account and recovery code and your boards are back. Without an account there’s no copy anywhere: the board lives on the device.

What languages does it speak?

Catalan, Spanish and English, all three with the same care. Catalan isn’t a translation of anything.

Can I share a board with someone else?

Not yet. Shared boards are coming, but we won’t put a date on it until they’re here.
